Some assignments are split into two parts, because two topics are covered during that week. For example, the first assignments are 1 and 1A. Such half-assignments are worth 2 points each, for a total of 4.

Errors and Redos

Erroneous or missing answers deduct 0.5 points each (0.25 points for half assignments). You can fix your errors, based on my comments, and get full credit for the assignment. The turnaround process can take some time, however. As the end of the semester gets near, I may not be able to guarantee a right-to-redo for assignments whose due date has long passed. You are encouraged, therefore, to turn in as much as you can on time, even if it's not perfect. This is part of the learning process in this course.
